OneWorld interview: Big Questions in AI

I was interviewed by OneWorld magazine about the big questions and challenges for a society in which AI is omnipresent (issue December 2020) [in Dutch]. I talked about AI decision making, and argued that we need go beyond autonomous systems towards Hybrid Intelligence, in which AI communicates and cooperates with the people it supports. AI systems, such as behaviour support technology, should take decisions that are aligned with our norms and values. We need to move towards flexible and context-aware AI systems instead of having AI decide for us what is “good” or “normal” behaviour.
